Before and After's of a Spa-Like Bathroom Remodel

Lee and her husband had recently relocated to the area, and they were excited to move into their beautiful high-end home in North Spokane. However, the house, which reflected some 1990's design trends, was in need of updating. Lee knew she wanted to give her home a fresh, updated transitional design look, but she didn't know where to start.

That's when she decided to reach out to Katie. During their initial consultation, Lee asked many questions, including how to update her home while still maintaining a sense of class and elegance, and how to incorporate her love of color without going overboard. Lee knew she wanted to focus on their Primary bathroom- and create a place of serenity.

After conducting a thorough walk-through of the new house, Katie and Lee scheduled a selections meeting. At the meeting, Katie presented two complete sets of tile and paint options for Lee to choose from. However, after exploring some of the other tile selections in the store, they made a few adjustments and arrived at a happy selection.

The next step was to create a rendering of the design plan so that Lee could communicate the vision to her contractor and husband. This was an important step in getting everyone on board with the project, and presenting a few visuals made it easier to accomplish. After another meeting with Lee, her husband, and their contractor, the design plans were finalized and the bidding and purchasing process began.

Katie's team (which always includes the client, contractor, and designer), worked collaboratively to create a primary bathroom that would provide a spa-like feeling, a refreshing atmosphere, and a more modern design aesthetic.

Overall, the design process was an exciting and rewarding experience for Lee and her husband, their feedback was: "We are very happy with it! Your guidance was great as navigating the world of tile is intimidating." Thrilled with the end result, and the help of Katie and her team, this family was able to achieve a beautiful, timeless design that they will enjoy for years to come.
